Christiane Amanpour is one of the world’s most successful international news reporters. She was born in London in 1958 to an Iranian father and British mother. She attended exclusive schools in England before moving to the USA to study journalism. She graduated in 1983 and landed a job with CNN in their Atlanta headquarters. In 1989, Amanpour was posted to Eastern Europe to cover the fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of communism.
